Tricky Shots
Tomorrow the only tricky shot we face is the position of the light as when we last filmed it was bright sunshine and there were no clouds in sight. We may find that by the time tomorrow comes around, the day won't be as bright and there will be a lack in our continuity
Full Film Synopsis

Aim's for last day of filming
Tomorrow we will film our last few shots in a park in town. Issues we must deal with to do this are ensuring the whole team arrives on time and in the same clothing in order to keep continuity. We need to film the last part of our title sequence which includes our two characters mourning over a grave, a medium close up of his girlfriend comforting him and lastly Harry bending down to read the letter taped to the grave which reads 'quit whilst your ahead'

What will our film include?
In relevance to certificate we decided our film would be a 15 because of language, drug use and sexual content. None of this is shown in the title sequence however the two characters wake up together in bed which could insinuate sexual references.

The First Day of Filming
We began our filming on 5/03/12 at my house in Royston where we managed to get all the shots we needed. I filmed whilst Rosanna and Brendan acted. We had a script but the only dialog is of the character Harry on the telephone and to make the argument more believable we decided to let him improvise. We faced no problems during the filming and things ran smoothly and to plan. If i could improve anything i would make sure we got more shots so we had more of a choice of which to use, also the day we shot was bright sun shine were the characters leave the house. This has caused the problem that we must rely on the weather to be nice again to film the outdoor scene in the grave yard in order to keep continuity.
Activity log - First day filming
5th march
On the first day filming we all went to our first location in Royston.
we used Abby's house as the primary location to film the beginning scenes.
Myself and Rosanna were the first two characters on the set and we got all the scenes needed done for a majority of the film the day.
there is only a few more scenes to go now till all the filming is complete.
we hope to get the editing done for what we have at the minute shortly so we can get one step closer to completing the project.

Tricky Shot Resolution
The tricky shot i mentioned in an earlier post was resolved in our first day of filming. To get the shot i wanted i thought i may have had to somehow balance the tripod on the bed but by putting it right upto the foot of the bed and zooming in i managed to get the desired shot.

Location Descriptions
This is the first location intended as Harry's bedroom. It is simple and contains a double bed, two bedside tables and some shelves. This is where most of the filming takes place.
The second location is a park just outside college which is small with a few benches and gravestones in the floor.
Analysing a Similar Title Sequence
Analysing the title sequence of thriller film 'Six Feet Under'
The sequence begins with the shot of a blue sky and a black bird's silhouette to the right of the screen above the first credit. The music is somewhat eerie and from this i assume the bird is a lone magpie representing sorrow.
The next shot is of two hands which begin holding then pulled apart. This begins to tell the audience the story of the film and the idea that loss and seperation play a big part in this film.
The next cut moves to a close up shot of someones feet on a metal slab with a label over their toe. The audience do not know who this is but it intrigues the view to continue watching. The previous themed shots insintuate this body is in a morgue.
Next it moves along to the trolley rolling down a corridoor oushed by a dark silhouette which lets the trolley go. The identity of the person is unknown to the audience as his face is not in sight creating again mystery in order to set the theme and capture an audiences attention.
Then we see the side of the person on the trolleys face but the audience still cannot see who it is but it is clear they are dead due to the dull colour of the skin and the lighting of the whole sequence. Following this the body is prepped for burrial in a white dress. However from the previous shots i interpret the white as innocence and that something not right has happened.
The next shot is an extreme close up of the birds feet displaying its claws. This title sequence uses symbolism to give the message of dark and morbid events. We then see a grave stone obviously representing death but is also a clever use of the title sequence as the producers name appears to be carved in to the head stone.
The final shot is of a lone tree on a hill possible representing isolation and death. The name of the film 'Six Feet Under' then appears in a square drawn to scale around six feet under the tree.

Tricky Shots
The first shot is a medium close up of Harry asleep. The shot is going to be a high angle shot. Difficutlties in this is getting shot will be getting high than the bed, we could use a step ladder or just stand on the end of the bed but by doing this the camera could wobble so we need to use a tripod.
